EmployAbility is the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting people with all disabilities into employment. Working with anyone with a disability seeking employment and with employers seeking to become more ‘disability inclusive’, we provide the essential link between these two key groups as the experts in the field of disability and employment. We also maintain strong links with universities across the country to enable us to advise disabled students/ graduates, and work closely with other disability organisations and many other key stakeholders
Working with Disabled Students and Graduates
At EmployAbility we work with disabled students and graduates to ease the transition from education to employment, offering free support and advice throughout the recruitment process and beyond.
Our highly experienced team provides key advice and opportunities including:
Offering internship, work experience and graduate programme opportunities with top employers from within the investment banking, legal, finance and accountancy, management consultancy, chemicals, banking, media, public and many other sectors
Making recommendations of disability inclusive employers
Guidance, advice and support with CV and application form writing
Mock interview sessions with key employers
Advice and pertinent information on how to perform well at interviews and assessment centres
Information and advice regarding adjustments you may require during the recruitment process and/ or in the workplace
Information, advice and guidance on other key disability issues such as disclosure of a disability
Opportunities to attend specialist recruitment events

Services to Employers
EmployAbility offers a range of tailored consultancy services to employers, aimed at creating a more diverse and inclusive working environment. Our experienced and highly professional team is dedicated to changing hearts and minds in the disability and employment arena. We are passionate about the work we do and will liaise closely with employers in order to establish the specific needs of each organisation. The services we provide include:
Promoting an organisation as a disability inclusive employer
Attracting and helping integrate disabled applicants into available roles and opportunities
Setting up and managing internship programmes/ placement and vacation schemes and other student programmes; or helping to attract and fully integrate disabled applicants into existing programmes/ schemes
Setting up and managing mentoring programmes for disabled people
Disability Awareness and Equality Training
Audit of recruitment and selection processes and making relevant recommendations
Providing tailor made consultancy services on issues relating to disability and employment, specific to the needs of each organisation.
Advice and practical guidance on ‘reasonable adjustments’

Services for Universities
EmployAbility provides services to universities, including on site presentations informing students about our services, training/ workshop sessions for students on issues of disclosure and other areas, joint presentations with employers, one to one drop in sessions for students and other specialist events and projects. We also run training sessions for careers and information officers on ‘disclosure of disability’ and other such areas to equip them to better advise disabled students
