(BSc Hons) Software Engineering, Kingston University

After an amazing 4 years at Uni, it was finally time for me to get a job in the ‘real world’. I took a number of contractual positions which I enjoyed, but I was eager for a permanent position. Then along came Milkround! I was surprised at how informal the company was. Even though my interview included the typical questions, I was able to have a laugh with everyone. That’s a pretty strong theme in the company – people are really friendly and even though we all come from different backgrounds, we all get along just like a family (only without the arguments!).

My day-to-day work is really quite varied. Some days I’m helping the sales guys with problems that may occur within the network of websites. Other times I’ll be developing new products or features. It’s great that I get chance to work on a lot of the new technology such as .NET – there’s always something new to learn. As I get different tasks each day, there’s no chance to get bored, and the days just fly by.

A good day in the office is always followed up by meeting the rest of the team in the local pub for drinks. We definitely know how have a good time…
